This document describes the “Terms and Conditions” applicable to the use of the services offered by Bamboo Hostels Group and this website. By accessing, browsing and using our website or making a reservation, the customer accepts having read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below. No employee or representative of the Company is authorized to modify, correct, restrict or add information to these terms and conditions, whether in whole or in part.

The websites bamboohostels.com.br, bamboorio.com.br and bamboobuzioshostel.com offer the best price on reservations when compared to other online booking channels. Valid for reservations of the same type of room or bed, on the same dates and with the same conditions.

Booking Conditions

Check-in time (or entry) at our property is from 2pm and check-out time (or departure) is until 11am. Between 11am and 6pm, half the daily rate will be charged, due to “late check-out”, always checking the availability of the Hostel. After 6pm, a full daily rate will be charged. To guarantee your stay with us, we request 50% of the reservation amount in advance. In all cases, the remaining payment must be made in full, at the time of check-in or arrival of the guest. The reservation will only be guaranteed after payment of 50% of the total amount stated.

Payment Methods

Bamboo Hostels Group accepts Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Ello and Dinners credit cards in various international currencies. We do not accept third-party cards for reservation payments. The credit card used for all reservation payments must be in the name of one of the guests and must be presented at check-in along with the guest's identity document. We also work with bank deposits, in the case of reservations made by Brazilians or by guests who are in Brazil. To do this, contact the hostel you wish to make the reservation and receive instructions on how to proceed. We do not accept international transfers If the customer makes a reservation in a currency other than that of their country of origin or the bank that issued their card, there may be a difference in the amount when they receive their invoice. In this case, the reservation amount is indicative and the bank will calculate the exchange rate in effect on the date the debit was made. The customer accepts that the Bamboo Hostels Group cannot control the charging of additional fees or charges (in addition to the real and fair purchase price of the reservation) that may be charged by their respective banks (client-bank relationship), and we are therefore exempt from any responsibility in this regard. WE ACCEPT Western Union, with the fees being borne by the customer.

Change and Cancellation Policy

In case of change or cancellation of your reservation, the amount paid will not be refunded, but may be transferred as credit for a new reservation, subject to date availability and/or rate change. Your request will be limited to a single change and must comply with the following deadlines: 1) For high season (from 12/25 to 01/25): at least 30 days in advance of the check-in date; 2) For mid-season (01/26 to 03/30) and holidays: at least 14 days in advance of the check-in date; 3) For the rest of the year: at least 7 days in advance of the check-in date; 4) Even if requested within these deadlines, *there will be no refund of the amounts paid;*Also: 5) Promotions, holidays and/or packages (such as New Year's Eve and Carnival) will require 100% advance payment of your reservation! In these cases, cancellation *is non-refundable and does not allow for rescheduling*; 6) Failure to show up within 24 hours of the check-in date and time, without prior notice, will be considered a *"no show"* (cancellation without notice); 7) Rescheduling or cancellations due to illness and/or hospitalization, including COVID-19, will only be accepted when they affect the reservation holder or first-degree relatives, provided that a medical report is presented.

No Show

A No Show is considered when a guest does not arrive on the day of check-in or entry of the reservation. In this case, the bed and/or room will remain available until 2:00 pm the following day. After this period, the reservation will be cancelled and the deposit will not be refunded. If any of the guests included in the reservation does not show up at the Hostel on the check-in date, the deposit will not be transferred to another guest. The reservation is non-transferable.

Accommodation of Minors

Children under 18 years of age are not allowed to stay in our hostels without the company of an adult. Minors may only stay in our hostels if they are accompanied by an adult and are staying in private rooms. Adults must be “responsible” for the minor in question, staying in the same room. Children up to 4 years of age stay free, as long as they stay in a private room, accompanied by an adult.

The customer expressly states that he/she understands, acknowledges and agrees that the Bamboo Hostels Group is not responsible for any loss, damage or any type of harm caused by the products or services that are available, offered or promoted through our website or chain units. Consequently, the customer agrees to release Bamboo Rio Hostel and/or Bamboo Búzios Hostel from any claim, liability and/or compensation for damages, losses and expenses, arising from or in any way related to the use of products or services offered by providers and operators, such as tours, transfers, packages, etc.
